Nkate nkwan is one of Ghana’s most famous national dishes. It is a soup made from peanuts. Many people refer to it as peanut butter soup, peanut or groundnut soup. There is a wide variety of peanut soups and stews across West Africa. This version is simply made by adding peanut sauce to an onion, tomato and pepper soup base.
